{"id":7079,"date":"2026-05-04T16:03:35","date_gmt":"2026-05-04T16:03:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thetwistzone.com\/?p=7079"},"modified":"2026-05-04T16:03:35","modified_gmt":"2026-05-04T16:03:35","slug":"americas-most-beloved-family-have-been-involved-in-a-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thetwistzone.com\/?p=7079","title":{"rendered":"Americas most beloved family have been involved in a \u2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>America is mourning the loss of one of its most beloved gospel families after a devastating plane crash claimed the lives of seven members of the<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-5\">\n<div id=\"interesting-usa.com_responsive_1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Nelon family and their close friends.<\/p>\n<p>The small private aircraft went down in Wyoming on its way to Alaska, leaving behind a legacy of faith, music, and love that had touched countless lives.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-6\">\n<div id=\"interesting-usa.com_responsive_2\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>According to early reports, the victims included pilot Larry Haynie and his<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-7\">\n<div id=\"interesting-usa.com_responsive_3\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>wife Melissa, family assistant Melanie Hodges, her daughter Amber and Amber\u2019s husband Nathan Kistler, as well as Jason<\/p>\n<p>and Kelly Nelon Clark\u2014key members of the award-winning gospel group, The Nelons. The sole surviving member of the immediate family,<\/p>\n<p>Autumn Nelon Streetman, was not on the flight. In a deeply emotional statement, she thanked fans and friends<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-10\">\n<div id=\"interesting-usa.com_responsive_4\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>for their prayers and support, describing her grief as \u201cindescribable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The tragedy occurred as the group was en route to the Gaither Homecoming Cruise,<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\">\n<div data-type=\"_mgwidget\" data-widget-id=\"1939652\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>a gospel music event in Alaska that was to feature some of the biggest names in Christian music. The Nelons were scheduled<\/p>\n<p>to perform, continuing their decades-long ministry of sharing hope and faith through song.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses described the horrifying scene as the aircraft, reportedly a twin-engine private<\/p>\n<p>plane, appeared to experience mechanical trouble before bursting into flames and crashing into a remote field in Wyoming.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the rapid response of emergency personnel, the wreckage was engulfed in fire by the time rescuers arrived.
