Famous for his parts in The Bodyguard, Night at the Museum, and New Jack City, the actor left the movie business. Bill\u2019s brother Thomas G. Cobbs, who is also a pastor, confirmed the sad news on Facebook: \u201cBill died peacefully at his home in California on June 25.\u201dBill recently celebrated his 90th birthday with loved ones who he cares about a lot.<\/p>\n

He is a devoted partner, big brother, uncle, surrogate parent, godfather, and friend. We are all comforted by the thought that Bill has found peace and eternal rest with his Heavenly Father.\u201c We ask for your prayers and encouragement during this time.\u201d According to TMZ, it\u2019s still not clear what killed Bill. Bill\u2019s niece, Bethany Cobbs, shared a cute picture of him with his family earlier this month to celebrate his birthday.<\/p>\n

With a smile on his face, the star sat down in a soft brown chair. Everything he did was for him! Fans sent well wishes to the actor\u2019s family on X, which used to be Twitter.\u201c Never knew his name, he was in EVERYTHING, RIP,\u201d one said. Another person said, \u201cMr. Bill Cobbs was a gentleman, an absolute legend, and a man of great talent.\u201d TV, movies, and the stage will never be the same without him.<\/p>\n
