Born in Toronto in 1971, he started acting as a child and quickly became known for his talent and charm. His breakout roles in films like *Lucas* and *The Lost Boys* made him a teen idol in the late 1980s, with thousands of fans sending him letters and celebrating his every move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But fame came with a heavy price. Like many child actors, Haim struggled with the pressures of growing up in the spotlight. As a teenager, he began battling addiction, and over time his personal struggles affected his health, finances, and acting career.
