{"id":21233,"date":"2026-07-07T03:55:19","date_gmt":"2026-07-07T03:55:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thetwistzone.com\/?p=21233"},"modified":"2026-07-07T03:55:21","modified_gmt":"2026-07-07T03:55:21","slug":"paul-pelosi-facing-charges-after-hit-and-run-in-california","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thetwistzone.com\/?p=21233","title":{"rendered":"Paul Pelosi Facing Charges After Hit-and-Run In California"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul Pelosi, the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, is in the news again, and not in a good way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The longtime investor could face some jail time after allegations that he enriched the family using inside information from his lawmaker wife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul Pelosi is suspected of crashing into a parked car and driving away from the scene Friday afternoon in Northern California, the Napa County Sheriff\u2019s Office said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pelosi allegedly struck a vehicle on the 6700 block of Yount Street in Yountville, around 2:30 p.m. local time, the sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vehicle, which was unoccupied, was legally parked on the side of the roadway and was left with major rear damage, according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CBS News reports that Yountville is about 50 miles north of San Francisco, where the couple live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deputies said they were told by a witness that the driver who hit the car briefly stopped, but then left the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vehicle that left the scene was described as a brown-colored convertible, according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sheriff\u2019s office said deputies soon found the suspect vehicle partially blocking Yountville Cross Road and that a California Highway Patrol vehicle was parked behind it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deputies then learned that the driver was 86-year-old Paul Pelosi and noticed that the vehicle had significant damage on the front right side, the sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the sheriff\u2019s office, Pelosi admitted to hitting something but told them he did not know what he hit, so he kept driving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He allegedly told deputies he continued to drive until his vehicle became disabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deputies said an investigation ruled out alcohol being a factor in the crash and that Paul Pelosi was not arrested in accordance with misdemeanor arrest laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cA California DMV re-evaluation referral form will be submitted to DMV, which is common for elderly drivers,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The case has since been forwarded to the Napa County District Attorney\u2019s Office, CBS News reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A spokesperson for the Pelosis has since released a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMr. Paul Pelosi has personally apologized to the owner of the vehicle and assured them that he would take responsibility for the damage to their vehicle.
