When I approached the driver\u2019s window, however, something immediately felt different.<\/p>\n

The man behind the wheel was visibly distressed. His hands gripped the steering wheel tightly, and his attention seemed divided between me and whatever worry had brought him onto the road in such a hurry.<\/p>\n

After I asked for his documentation, he explained the situation.<\/p>\n

His daughter, Emily, was in the hospital experiencing serious complications during labor.<\/p>\n

The hospital had contacted him and urged him to come immediately.<\/p>\n

I did not solve every problem facing that family.<\/p>\n

I simply helped a father reach his daughter.<\/p>\n

The doctors, nurses, and family members carried the greater burden.<\/p>\n
