Position the tips as close to the skin as possible, right at the point where the tick is attached. Pull upward slowly and steadily, using gentle, even pressure. Do not twist, crush, or jerk the tick while removing it.<\/p>\n<p>After removal, inspect the bite area carefully. If a small dark fragment is left behind, do not dig into the skin aggressively.
